Treechada Petcharat better known by the names Nong Poy, is a Thai actress and model born on October 5, 1986, . Born male, Petcharat underwent gender reassignment surgery at age 17. Nong Poy knew she was a girl, but in front of her parents, she had to pretend and live as a male. She felt disgusted by her “male” genitals, so at the age of 17, she underwent sex reassignment surgery and since then, she has said that she feels as if she has been reborn. he was winner of Miss Tiffany’s Universe and Miss International Queen in 2004 and became an artist in Thailand in 2004 which she later joined showbiz in her place and became part of some movies like With Love (2010), Spicy Beauty Queen of Bangkok 2 (2012), The White Storm (2013), From Vegas to Macau II (2015).

Being a woman trapped inside a man’s body is a very hard thing  but for Nong Poy, it will definitely bring inspiration to many people out there who are also wishing to grant their dreams of soaring and reaching the skies of being a woman, inside and out.

“Again, being a woman is not based on your genitals. It will always be after on how you define yourself and live your life to the fullest.”-Nong Poy said during her interview.

Treechada Petcharat (seated center) from Thailand was crowned Miss International Queen 2004 at the glamorous international event held last week at Tiffany’s in Pattaya. Arisha Rani from India and Ma Cristina Dandan finished first and second runners-up.

Poy recently she won the 2014 Sina Weibo “Thailand’s Person of the Year Award” for her social media presence and acting in Chinese movies. She hopes that this will help more people get to know about Thailand.
